What are Matching Donations?
- Matching donations are a fantastic way to maximize your contribution to Houston Pets Alive! without any additional cost to you. Many employers have matching gift programs where they match the charitable donations (and volunteer hours!) made by their employees, effectively doubling (or sometimes even tripling) the original donation. This means your support for our cause can go twice as far in helping us save at-risk cats and dogs and find them loving homes.
How to Find Out if Your Donation Can Be Matched
- Check with Your Employer: The first step is to find out if your employer offers a matching gift program. This information is usually available through your Human Resources department or your company’s website.
- Submit a Matching Gift Request: If your employer has a matching gift program, follow their procedure to submit a matching gift request. This may involve filling out a form or providing proof of your donation to Houston Pets Alive!
