Hurricane Beryl: Lasting Damage and Support Needed

Hurricane Beryl hit Houston yesterday, bringing high winds, heavy rain, and tornado warnings that caused widespread damage across our city. Our Houston Pets Alive! facility sustained extensive water damage and is still without power, but thankfully, we were able to get all of our animals into safe foster homes.

Now we urgently need your help to recover from this disaster. Almost all of our facility has had flooding, the worst being in our surgery suite which houses our most expensive equipment. We are still working on clearing out the water and assessing the full scope of the damage, but we are in desperate need of your help. Our primary focus is to ensure the continued safety and care of our animals, and we are working tirelessly to relocate them to secure homes while we plan our next steps.

In this critical time, HPA! is calling on the community for urgent support. Here’s how you can help us recover and continue our mission to save lives:

  • Donate: Financial contributions are crucial to help us cover the costs of repairs, supplies, and continued animal care.
  • Foster an Animal: We urgently need temporary or permanent homes for animals to ensure their safety and well-being. Whether you foster with HPA! or another organization in need, providing a safe home for the animals is our number one priority.
  • Volunteer: We need volunteers to assist with animal care, transportation, and other essential tasks during this recovery period.

We are only able to save lives and step up in emergency situations because of your generous support. Whatever the amount, every bit helps, so please consider making a lifesaving gift today. Together, we can ensure that all pets and their families receive the care and support they need during this difficult time.

Thank you for your support and compassion.
