19 Cats Saved from Hoarding Situation

Just days ago, we received an urgent call from one of our partners about a severe hoarding situation where over 40 animals were found in distress. Houston Pets Alive! stepped up to take in 19 of the cats, giving them a chance at a better future. Thanks to a coordinated effort among multiple animal welfare organizations, they are all now out of harm’s way—but the reality is, they arrived frightened, in rough shape, and unsure of what comes next.
Taking in so many cats at once has put a serious strain on our resources, especially on top of the seven kittens with ringworm we took in last week, and they will all likely be in our care for some time as they heal and learn to trust again.
