Seven Kittens Need You—Will You Help?

Yesterday, we welcomed seven tiny kittens into our care—frightened, sick, and covered in ringworm. These fragile babies came from one of our partner shelters, where their futures were uncertain. While their lives weren’t immediately at risk, we know that in general, ringworm—highly contagious and time-consuming to treat—often puts kittens like them in danger of euthanasia simply because shelters don’t have the resources to care for them.
A few of these kittens are in even rougher shape, battling upper respiratory infections on top of their ringworm making breathing difficult (see video below of Sting and Axl Rose). Right now, they need weeks of medical care, special baths, and dedicated foster support before they’ll be healthy enough to find families of their own. This is exactly why Houston Pets Alive! exists—to step in when others can’t and give these vulnerable animals a second chance.
